What does beating Khan do for Malignaggi's legacy?

Even though he's a name, trained by Freddie Roach and is a big money fight I don't think at this point in Khan's career beating him does a lot for Malignaggi. It's just dousing the flame of a young fighter with potential not really a landmark victory.

If he does win, where does he go from there? a Bradley match-up? Hatton rematch? Pacquiao?

Its a good win but Khan is still pretty green.

Probably sets him up to rematch Hatton in the UK..or even a fight with Bradley...either way..it puts him back in the picture of being a top contender and he could even challenge the winner of Urango-Alexander for a belt.

Paulie's a good name to have on any record - especially someone who's below the age of 25. He's not a top line name, but he's still a very useful fighter.

Just the kind of competition Khan needs to get his game in order before taking on the very best.

didn't the Diaz win already put him in that space?

I was talking about from Paulie's perspective. I agree with you from Khan's perspective, the fight makes a lot of sense.

He beats a good young prospect

                I do not really know

where did the Diaz fight get him? Back on the scene and it gave him a little exposure on HBO

                that is about it

I hope Paulie fights the top guys at 140 so they can kick his ass

You forgot one thing. If Paulie beats Amir he will be world champion again. A two-time world champion.
