Hopkins gets hit flush just like every other fighter. Sure, he gets hit flush LESS OFTEN, but the fact remains.

And sure, Haye likes to throw haymakers. But he's also a smart fighter with an extremely underrated trainer. Against Hopkins he'd fight intelligently.

For all I like BHOP, I think Haye is just a weight division too far.

          I agree with you.

Hopkins is great, but Haye kills him. Particularly at this point.

Haye stops Hopkins at heavyweight. He is far too big a puncher and far too fast for his size. Hopkins would lose speed moving up as well and couldn't hope to back Haye up. Eventually something would land flush and it would be lights out. Not a good fight for Hopkins. He talks about Roy Jones beating Ruiz, but Ruiz is an entirely different style to Haye. Ruiz has never been quick, mobile or a big hitter, so Jones always had a chance.

It would be a brilliant achievement, but I just can't see it happening.

Hopkins goes on about this at times, but has Haye ever said anything other than Ruiz then a Klit brother? So I don't know why Nard is so convinced he'll get the shot, if he is convinced that is.

I reckon he'd win a lot of early rounds but by not being able to hold his ground and back his man up like he's used to, he'd really dwindle at the end with the pressure. I could see a late TKO. He's deluded, and Ruiz is not the same size as Haye really, depending on his fight weight he's generally at least a stone heavier than Haye.
