Maybe that will change the fight altogether.
So true. The hardest part is not to get inside on Wlad, it's to prevent him from clinching. Wlad is a master at clinching. But I doubt talking to the ref about it or complaining about it during the fight will help Chambers much... He will be in ennemy territory, so he can't count on the ref to be too severe towards Wlad.

Another American hope bites the dust.
You should start thinking about coming up with something new. Always the same old ****. Maybe you could say :

      - Wladimir the great will annihilate the american dog
      - Wladimir, the ukrainian king of the heavyweights, will crush the american bum
      - Wladimir will **** Chambers all around the ring and ko him out the ring with his steelhammer left hand

It will make for a slight change in your usual comments.

In his last fight, 27-year-old American decisioned previously undefeated Alexander Dimitrenko, whose style is comparable to Klitschko.

        Am I missing something here?

Nice win for Eddie and all, but Dimitrenko fights nothing like Wlad.

He'd have to be some sort of a crappy ref, of which we unfortunately have very many. However, let me point out to those who recently came into boxing like the above poster, that there's "clinching" and then there's "holding" which superficially look similiar. Clinching is an as legitimate a move in boxing as is a left jab or right cross.

That is Klitschko's means of defusing any positive attacking move from his opponent. Holding would likely be beneficial, if the boxer was stunned, or dazed by a punch or combination, and he needs time to recover. This is technically illegal, but accepted by the majority of refs as legit.

Furthermore, let me say to the poster, that just about every great champion [in which list I do NOT include Hopkins] has had clinching as a very important component of his defensive tactics, even on some occasions, being ready to deliver a KO blow as his frustrated opponent pulled away.

It's not my intention, nor do I wish to waste my time instructing an ignoramus who will never understand the finer points of boxing, and I am NOT specifically pointing at the above poster.....................

I don't think Chambers will win this one. Wlad is to expierenced and has all the tools, Eddie will give him a tough fight, but thats it. If chambers had the power of say Peter then he wins, he has all the other tolls but that and his size will be a big factor, Dimetrenko didn't use his size to his advantage, and was to slow.

Eddie can provide a window to compare Haye's speed, which is much faster. I think Eddie's style would be better suited for Vitali, but hopefully he's pumped up and ready to go fight night and makes Wlad work.
                Haye much faster than Eddie?

Like Ward and Hopkins do, just to put a few examples?

Chambers could of Povetkin again and try to avenge his loss but he chose to fight W.Klitschko for the title. You think Chambers made the right decision?
