I was there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and marvin sonsona entrance was the worst **** I have ever see nin my life.... he got .. 2 rappers.. and one of them.. was dressing like some ridler superhero vary lame & wack!!! as soon as those kids came out.. i said..

OK.. ITS ENOUGH....marvin is going to lose ala.. APOLLO VS DRAGO.......

papito was TOOOOOOOOOO DAMN STRONG FOR MARVIN..... how by mistake .. stay for too long in the ropes.. hoping that he was going to catch papito with something big.. on the exchange.. but ... it was ... the opposite....

great great performance by papito....and...mcJOe & mc WIlliams... look also great on their debut....

JONATHAN OQUENDO.. was dominant for the first 5 rounds. .then... he gasses out.. and got almost knocked twice on the fight..... not a big win for him... since.. it seemms like the kid.. will never reach his peak or is just not GOOD ENOUGH for the elite....

carlos negron.... pss... until he fights somebody with a pulse.. hes a bum for me....
the only thing that impress me from him is his height.. nothing more nothing less...

damn the ko from mcwilliams.. was a nasty ko!!!

      We did it , mellow

I think that would've been a good card for a non-fight fan since there were so many quick ko's.

Vasquez won me my money back so I am happy today.

Sonsona has potential and fast hands. He needs to keep his ass in the gym and learn from this.

I would love to see Caballero vs. Vasquez but there is a problem. Caballero was stripped of the IBF title and is moving up to 126.

So to unify Vasquez could fight for the vacant IBF title or fight Poonsawat Kratindaenggym (another favorite of mine) for the WBA and that's going to be the hardest fight of his life because Poon is very much a bad ass, who's never tasted the canvas in 41 fights, and is a great inside fighter.

I'd like to see Vasquez go for the IBF title or defend against Antonio Escalante.

Cab is hunting JuanMa at 126 now

I like Vasquez style though. It's hard liking 3 guys in the same division.

I think Vasquez-Escalante would be the fight right now.

I would love to see Vasquez fight anyone and I'd root for him except if he fought Cab or Poonsawat. Ha ha ha.

Rigo needs to fight better guys so if he's good, he should be able to get his chance.

But he needs to earn it first, IMO.

A second generation fighter, Vasquez Jr. showed a style, poise, and desire often lacking in the sons of former World champions.

Sonsona weighed in just beneath the limit at 121 ¼, Vasquez Jr. spot on the division limit at 122 lbs.

Both men took a moment to size each other up, Sonsona firing at the belly, Vasquez jabbing at the head. They stayed cautious until near the minute mark when Vasquez found a hole for a quick lead right and Sonsona answered with a pair of lead southpaw lefts. A similar flaring came in the last twenty seconds of an evenly contested frame.

The action was more consistent in the second, Sonsona landing some sharp lefts early but Vasquez dominating the back half of the round and backing Sonsona up with right hands. A swelling formed under the left eye of Sonsona and, perhaps smelling blood, Vasquez jogged across the ring as the bell sounded to begin round three. [Click Here To Read More]
                      The inevitability of Fate !!

Here I am today, Sunday, sitting in a comfortable apartment in Panama City, Panama, musing philosophically on the vagaries of life, and it's unexpected turns. Across the room is a shelf, on which stand some bottles, one of which towers over the others, a tall thin, dark-hued bottle of tequila, labelled, appropriately, I think,........'CORRALES'-who was also tall and lanky.

The bottle had been brought home by my son, who, since his experience of once having worked in a Canadian Government liquor store, usually bought the best quality.

Corrales, the fighter, at his peak, was also the best.

My thoughts naturally went on to his untimely death, the wastefullness, the tragedy, and sheer unneccessary event, which, I've always thought, mightd have been avoided, with some good advice, particularly on the night in question. But, Fate always has the last word.

He was a favourite fighter of mine, and his tumultous life mighd have had a happier outcome if he had had a steadying influence close to him. He left behind many regretful, sad, boxing enthusiasts, as well as personal friends.

                      Requiescat in Pacem.
