Actually there is allot of truth in this. Ruiz hasn`t ducked anyone has he. I guess he deserves a bit of respect for this. And in world title matches he has done well regardless of how.
People hate Ruiz because he holds and hugs etc...but he wins.
I`m not a fan of his but i have always said that Ruiz should be credited with finding a way to win with such limited skill.
Pernell Whitiker was boring, so is Winky Wright come to mind but their very good boxers.
Ruiz is boring but he gets the W! Is it possible that if Ruiz was smaller and in a different weight division, enjoying the same success, that maybe be ( Bite my tongue ) respected?

See this is what I'll never understand about Puerto Rican fight fans!! Isn't it sad when they hold Tito and Hector Camacho in a higher regard than John Ruiz.. Ruiz has NEVER EVER ducked another fighter!! He has made his clutch and grab style an art!! Ruiz has come back from losses (Something that little ***** Tito could learn from).. Speaking of ***** performers the Camachos are a disgrace.. Hector Camacho Sr. when he fought DLH ran and fought just not to get knocked out.. Everyone knows what a coward his son turned out to be.. You'll never see Chavez' son fight like a little ***** like that!! If Ruiz shoved his heritage in everyones face and had a big mouth Im sure hed appeal more to his base..
