Sheesh, I almost spelled write, right.

    No book writing for me.

please make sure you have a couple chapters on how the mafia threatened the lives of tua's family and that's why he threw the byrd and lewis fights.

I know that's true for the Ward and Calzaghe fights. I'm not so sure about the rest though.

Yeah, what a tragedy, like Pancho Villa was.

It trips me out that Ketchel and Villa had so many fights and died so young.

Its like boxing was a true career back then where you had to go to work every day instead of shooting for mega money twice a year.
Yeah, boxing was much different but I doubt those athletes(bar room brawlers) could last a minute with the athletes we have now. The sport evolved but wouldn't it be nice if we got to see our favorite fighter throw down every month or every other month.

The modern day equivalent of fixing is fighting soft opposition.

Matchmakers go out and are hired by managers to find the least dangerous fights for as long as they can.

It is in a sense guys who are paid to take a dive, but guys deliberately chosen.

It amounts to almost the same thing.

Kessler is in the very deepest waters right now. Doesn't matter how many Sammy Sparkman's etc he fought on his way upH.

He's in it for real now.

Hopefully he doesn't get pummelled too badly so he can have a career in middle management at Maersk or some other Danish company.

            • I actually just read the TS post and I gotta say it is kind of funny. The whole thing about meat riding and deep throating with bounty paper towels are funny analogies.

Wait, so its chups' fault that ronnie is flooding Boxingscene with his ****ty articles?

                • Why do people have to labeled as "Pacfans", "*******s", "*****s" and the like? I like Pac a bit more than Floyd but I know he is not gonna beat some middleweight boxer or a heavyweight. This place gets carried away with the alliances and teaming up, but it would not be boxingscene otherwise, lol.

He's already in business as he has made his own organic supplements. Looks like a good way to waste a fortune once your sporting career is over.
