Could Arreola have been a belt holder while Tyson was in prison?

If Chris Arreola was how he is now and was a boxer during that few year period where Tyson was in imprisoned on the **** charge, is he good enough as to where he could have won at least 1 of the ABC belts?

I say he would have beaten the breaks off of alot of the early 90's contender HWs, so yeah he probably could have won a belt during that time.

    What do you think?

    Holyfield
    Moorer
    Foreman
    Lewis
    McCall
    Ruddock

I don't fancy Arreola's chances against any of these guys who were at or near the top at that time.

There were other guys who held belts at that time who were not as good as any of those fighters.

I think Arreola could have potentially have beaten McCall or Ruddock.

Those are the 2 guys I'd give him on that list, but I wouldn't favor him. Botha, Seldon, Morrison, those guys I can see him taking.

Areolla would lose to Mcall and ruddock imo.

Morrison probably beats him too, basically anyone decent, he would be lucky to even get a title shot imho

lol this is a joke right?

Arreola would have been a BUM. The only reason why he is even fighting on HBO is because the KLITKO bitches have made the heavyweight division a joke. Nobody wants to watch it. so they put a wild swining fat beer drinking brawler on HBO because they don't have any other heavyweight.

IDK, if it was him vs Bruce Seldon for that vacant title way back when I would think the nipple could have pulled it off not to mention going more than a round with Tyson.

Arreola is nothing special in my eyes. Exciting, but not very good. HW's of the 90s were not 240 lb wildebeests as they are now. I wouldn't see him going very far. Though an alphabet belt might have been attainable.

Beat me to it. I was going to say that Arreola isn't good enough to be mentioned with the top doggs of the 90's. The bolded ones are guys he might've beaten, IMO.

Fellas, you can't be forgetting Bowe. Prior to Golota, he would've utterly humiliated someone as crude as Arreola.

I do think, however, that Arreola would've been a beltholder during the chaotic period after Lennox's retirement. I mean, you had all these sub-par guys like Byrd, Brewster, Sanders, Maskaev, Peter, Ibragimov and Chagaev all swapping those belts like candy. It's highly likely there would've been room for another fat lump to masquerade as champion.
