Why all those ATG that quit in the ring still get love?

Boxing is a brutal sport that requires sacrifice, courage, guts, and overall heart to the fullest no matter what. Now i always see people still hyping up quitters like Vic Ortiz and one of the biggest quitter in boxing history Roberto duran.First of all i understand if you getting beat up to a pulp and theres no reason to keep fighting(still not acceptable in my books)or your corner stops it.Im not feeling that looking up to quitters and why they get a pass and bums dont.i mean after all quitting is quitting right?? my point is these guys should get no love specially warriors like DLH,Israel Vasquez,V.Klitsko,Cotto,Tzyu.If we going to be bias against bums for quitting we should hold it against great fighters too like keeping them out of the hall of fame and induct them into the hall of shame for the rest of their lives!Lets all unite and boycott these clowns that show no respect for us fans and boxing.

Who are you to judge? Have you even been a ring? Dont think you have.

And those fighters have come back to redeem themselves. Quitters stay down, these guys got back up.

Because some boxing fans actually have a brain and understand that the boxers life will always be more important than the entertainment of the crowd.

Just because you quit doesn't mean you don't have heart, it just means you don't want to die or be seriously injured.

I think its funny that braindead boxing fans think they are entitled to seeing a boxer be killed in the ring just because they spent 59.99 on a PPV of bought a ticket to the event live.

The only thing you are entitled to is to see the fight thats it!!! This isn't the WWE so get the *** over yourselves because fans need boxing a lot more than boxing needs fans.

co-sign. Worst part is that these cheap mutha****ers don't even buy the fights and watch them via pirated internet streams.

What exactly is acceptable to you? Every time a man is overmatched you want him to be knocked out cold? Seperated from his senses? Even if he has zero chance of winning? I'm sorry, but I just don't feel the same way. This is a sport, a brutal sport, but it's a sport. If you're a beaten man, you have a right to quit.

Now do I expect a certain amount of effort? Yes. Nate Campbell is an example of quitting imo. Victor Ortiz turning his back and saying **** it, thats not good either. But at least he fought toe to toe and got off the matt before that too. I'm not even that mad at him.

To say one instance is enough to remove a guy from the Hall is dumb also. You know how many tough fights Duran was in before he quit? How many people forget the Torres war Cotto was in? Or the Judah fight? Israel Vasquez? Youre going to question that man's heart? He couldn't breath through his nose because it was shattered. Yeah he fought a few rounds with a shattered nose. But he's supposed to fight 6 more rounds like that right?

In this sport it is expected of you to give it your all. It is not expected of you to be willing to be beaten to death. That's something different. It's bull**** machismo that no man with a family needs to live by.
