Victor Ortiz learned a valuable lesson yesterday

I don't see why Ortiz needed to bounce around the ring I think he should have just bopped instead...I liked his shuffle run around the ring like Ali used to do lol I think the real lesson Victor learned was not to fall inlove with his power because everyone has a game plan not everyone can be like floyd and use the same style to fight anyone...I think he learned that he has to figure fighters out and go for the kill when he feels the time is right...and that if he takes his time he will eventually get the KO without the intention to KO someone as he did with A.Diaz...I think that no matter who fights victor they will get dropped no matter what...hes probably gonna start tiring opponents And take them to the deep waters and go for the KO in the late rounds if it doesn't happen earlier...I know this was a tune up fight but he carried his opponent and finished him when he wanted to and that to me is a big step up to redeem his career...

    Agree with you 100%

I think the loss to Maidana was a blessing in disguise....he learned that once he gets to the top dogs they will not fold as easily as the lower level fighters. Therefore that gave him the push to make certain changes in his boxing style that will allow him to compete at the highest level.

And even better that it happened at the beginning of his career rather than later in his career

same as Amir's fight with Prescott... It was a blessing in disguise, but Amir has improved MUCH MORE THAN Ortiz has.

Amir and Victor are on a collision course. They will fight soon in a year or two. It will be a great fight.
