Do you realize that all fighters have matchmakers?

Both were unknown and that is a fact.

Hatton was there to be beat at WW after Collazo gave him a very close fight. He went back down to Jww after.

But Hatton was not a PPV star or anything.

I agree the Cotto fight would have made Floyd move another level. It would be close for a good few rounds until Cotto gasses IMO. I can picture some GREAT world class boxing, movement, speed, power and body work in it from both.

Marg was a nobody, but who was Hatton? No one can say Hatton would have made more PPV's than Marg at the time.
i disagree with u on the hatton/margarito comparison. Hatton is still a bigger star than maragrito right now.

But I agree floyd should have fought Cotto after the hatton fight!

hatton was more popular than margarito was even in the u.s.at the time that hatton beat tszyu who had margarito beat that compared? hatton's fights were televised in the u.s so he wasn't unknown.margarito became recognized because floyd supposedly was duckin him before that rumor started most people didn't know him and when most people actually seen him fight was against clottey and margarito looked like **** then he lost to williams

Pac still had unfinished business with JMM though... So why leave 130 and go up to 135 and not wait for JMM? And, fighting Morales was just the same as fighting Judah... Nothing was signed and both had an agreedment before hand. So there is not different... Then only thing that was different is that Zahir Raheem was not good enough to stay on top very long...

he was no #1 WW at the time. he hadn't even beat a champion at the time. Feeding off the lower level ranked fighters of the division doesn't make u a somebody!!!

Zab was that guy in the division, the undisputed champ, Baldomir took that and floyd took that. And Floyd foguth both them in consecutive fights1 margarito has only beaten 1 current champ is whole career and it whatn't back then. #1 guy my a$$

I hear you on the Raheem issue. I do feel Pac would have won, but that's my opinion.
No, Floyd has no conqueror! So he can't conquer his conqueoror

Baldomir was the lineal champ and Margarito had the #1 ranking at the time.... At worst he was #2 and Floyd was #1 at worst... But, Margarito was rank higher than Judah at the time... Again longest reigning WW champ at the time, had the best WW resume at the time out of all the other top 10 WWs at the time... You're right he was a nobody...
