true i'm the same, but the way people go on about fighters they dislike (way over the top) it would interest me - Is it just internet bull**** or is there a genuine unhealthy obsession?

It's internet bull****, people saying 'so and so's a bum or has a weak chin' when these people have never laced a pair of gloves. Saying that though if I saw Frank Warren I'd call him a **** cos he is one lol

I would act totally cool. I respect every boxer that gets into the ring. And I don't really dislike boxers haha. I can't believe how people talk **** on here it amuses me.

I'd be courteous, just because that's how you should act. I mean, it's not like I personally dislike any fighter. How could I? I don't know them. Unless he was a douchebag to me, I'd be straight with him.

If i met any boxer i would be respectful, no matter who they are they deserve respect for the game tht they are in.

a lot of people talk about respecting anyone that steps in the ring and I agree 100% but the reason I started this thread was the majority of threads show a TOTAL lack of respect.....

I think i would be respectfull as i try to be on here. Professional fighters deserve respect maybe with the exception of Margarito and Zab Judah.

It doesn't even have to be meeting them - just look at how people post on a message board about a fighter, and then the way they act during an online chat the moment said fighter answers their question. They go from e-tough guy to A-1 nuthugger in a manner of keystrokes.

Not to mention that meeting a fighter almost always changes someone's perception of them. A lot of people **** on Cory Spinks, for example, but if you spend even a couple of minutes with him, you find out he's one of the most grounded cats on the face of the earth.

That said, I admit there are one or two fighters/fight personalities I go out of my way to avoid. I've never liked Oscar de la Hoya in or out of the ring, and even with his serving as a promotional front man, I'd still rather deal with Richard Schaefer. I don't even like talking to Oscar on media conference calls and rarely if ever ask him a question (mainly because I can almost always guess his answer well before asking for it).
