you're right that roy hadn't been beating good comp, but that doesn't mean everything. do you think he would've passed his medical tests if he was literally half the man he once was? he'd be a vegetable. c'mon dude, i'd bet on prime roy over calzaghe, but don't be biased. calzaghe had a brilliant boxing mind and phenomenal footwork, especially considering how much he threw. people who punch a lot don't usually move much. no way does calzaghe get embarassed even against a prime roy.
This is why I hate Joe Calzaghe

I am not being biased, and nothing that I said should even lead you to believe that. I am not even talking about a prime for prime match up.. havent even mentioned it, once. I am talking about the level in which they fought on... You are right, Calzaghe had great everything, footwork, lateral movement, head movement, stamina, punch output, and everything... hes about as close to prime as you get without being prime... Roy on the other hand... had been knocked out twice 5 years earlier... didnt look stellar against Ajamu.. didnt look great against Hanshaw... looked good against a 170lb Trinidad... only until round 4 or 5... and he is supposed to compete with Joe?you're right that roy hadn't been beating good comp, but that doesn't mean everything. do you think he would've passed his medical tests if he was literally half the man he once was? he'd be a vegetable. c'mon dude, i'd bet on prime roy over calzaghe, but don't be biased. calzaghe had a brilliant boxing mind and phenomenal footwork, especially considering how much he threw. people who punch a lot don't usually move much. no way does calzaghe get embarassed even against a prime roy.

You can't quantify boxing ability that way and expect it to mean something. Boxing is more then numbers and calculations. If you only lose a small fractions of your reflexes for example it can be the difference between getting away and not getting away and because of that imply you need to change your whole game. Also your mental ability to fight, your will to engage your reaction to adversity, it can't be counted or easily seen on the outside. It is enought to say that Calzaghe was by all measures still a top fighter when he beat Jones. Jones was not, he was not able to do what he once did with ease, he could not fight nearly the way he once did.Comment

Im a fan of Calzaghe, and i think he underrated by alot of people outside of Britain. I wouldnt call him a 'Legend Killer' though. I think the win of Hopkins was a good win, as Hopkins is a tough fight for anyone. But, Jones was a shadow of his former self when Calzaghe faced him.Comment

A 4 weight title holder, never a champion. He was a paper champion.LOL you IDIOT. Dont know nothing.
RJJ = Champion in 4 weight classes and possibly the greatest Light Heavyweight boxer of all time.
Joseph Cowardzaghe = Held a worthless belt for 10 years defending it against bums and "legends" that were 10 years past their prime
Nobody can defend Cowardzaghe.
True boxing fans see him for what he is, A cherry picking fraudComment
