No one will remember or care about Joe Calzaghe a decade or two from now, so whatever.

RJJ hit Calzaghe with a forearm, no wonder Calz went down.

Sir Joe Calzaghe the best fighter from 160/168/175 since Marvin Hagler.

The annoying thing about Joe was he was really good and did not NEED to cherry pick. It is well known that Joe had hand problems and elected to slap instead of punch which makes his career even more remarkable a great boxer that slaps and does not punch. He had a great boxing mind ,busy work rate and a great chin. Some boxers say with a poor chin HAVE to cherry pick to get by , they have no choice if they don't they will get exposed. With Joe the worst thing that would have happened is he would have lost tight close fights`but he elected to take the softer route. Inside he knows what he has done and can't make up his mind if he did the right thing or not, that is why he keeps on going on about his unbeaten record and justifying it.

Good post. Joe could have and should have taken more chances. Dawson would have been a good match-up or even Pavlik if he would have taken that fight instead of the Jones fight. Also he could have fought Jones, Tarver or Hopkins while they where still prime. Instead he stayed in England until thoose opportunitys where gone.

Prime Roy wouldve killed him right there.

He probably could of...but he never did. End of story.

Calzaghe's career is only better than Ottke's because of two wins: Hopkins and Kessler. Those 2 saved his poor legacy.
The talent was there with Calzaghe, i can't deny it but not the balls.
