Comments Thread For: Devon Alexander – The Lou’s New Main Man

As an understudy to former welterweight and current IBF junior middleweight world champion Cory Spinks, Devon Alexander learned his lessons well. He did his job, didn’t steal the spotlight from his more accomplished neighbor, and waited for his own moment to come. [Click Here To Read More]

****ing Don King wasting away all his young talent. I really like this guy. Can't wait to see him school Urango.

Speed is a killer along with technique and ring generalship. Urango is strong as a bull but he is slower than Alexander and does not have his technique and ring generalship. I expect to see a fight like Leonard and Hagler. Alexander wins by unanimous decision though. don't see him knocking out Urango. Alexander will hit, run and hang on once he gets hit by Urango. Both hatton and Berto decided to hand on after being hit with Urangos missiles.

I like Alexander, and expect him to easily beat Urango. I wonder if he is capable of hitting the level Bradley is currently at, but he will be a top player at 140 as long as he is there.

i think based on what is being said about alexander, and his style, i think he will outbox and out class urango.urango isnt skilled at all and he has a plodding , predictable one dimensional style.i think urango is a strong junior welterweight, but he doesnt have outstanding boxing abilities.his punches are to wide.as far as the jr welter weight division, its loaded with talent.there is a puertorican boxer by the name of kenny galarza, that never gets mentioned,he is 12-0-12kos.but when he gets ranked by the end of the year, people will soon realise that this guy is the most exciting fighter to watch in the division.i think he will knock everybody out.he is the future of this division.

I've been watching Devon for a minute now. Happy to see where he is right now. I can't wait until next Saturday to see him versus Urango.

Am the only one who read that 'Junior Witter' made Bradley look bad? How is that? For the first few rounds it was competitive and then after Bradley floored Witter, Witter ran for the rest of the fight. Bradley fought an 'older' Witter, Devon fought a completely washed up Witter, that is the difference...
