Didnt you just say that they are babying Khan then you turn around and say they rush fighters.

I wil enjoy watching this mans young career. Turns out it wont be in the olympics but hes still good.
I am sorry is Khan not a champ? What is there to baby now? Is he not top 3 in his weight-class? So again what is there to baby? And, my whole point with Khan is that HBO went along with that contract. And, that is not there job to do so... But, I guess that little statement flew over your head...

His career is over before it even started. Name one good fighter that Golden Boy has brought up along? Don't worry I will wait...

why? I gave good input in this thread. I mean this only has 10 replies and may not even get 15 due to no one giving a **** about top prospects.

Khan is as green as the incredible Hulk. "Brought up along". What does that mean? Fed bums and cabs driver to a padded record? I dont understand this. how are they brining up prospects the wrong way? A better question is what prospects have they ruined.

What I also notice that will be very interesting is both Benavidez, Sosa, and Gomez are all in the same weight class. Benavidez is with Top rank, Sosa will more than likely go with Top rank (my wild prediciton) and Gomez is with GBP. I wanna see how these two promotional companies go about bringing their young fighters career along. They all are on the same level talent wise, but how these fighters career turns out will tells us alot about who is the best promo company in boxing.

I seen a little of both guys. Most guys on B-Scene only know Pac and Floyd. So you were right about just putting here. Me , you and Jro will be the only people in this thread.

Now on Gomez IMO should've went to the Olympics. Wouldve been a great learning experience against many different styles if fighters. Now as an 18 year old he will be vunerable to an Old Wily Veteran handing him his ass.

Him vs. Benavedez would be nice down the road. If they are in the same weight class.

I've been saying it for a while but Gomez, Sosa, and Benavidez will be the next wave of stars in that WW division. Then add Ortiz and Khan and 5-6 years from now look for some classic showdowns. I know that's jumping the gun but Im very confident in these guys ability, talent and desire. Gomez has the drive to be great as well as Sosa (due to him losing his brother).

If I had to give an edge it would have to go to Benavidez at this point due to him working with Freddie Roach. I see several terrible habits in Gomez and I really wished he got a different trainer than he has right now.

As far as him being handled by an old veteran, GBP wont allow that to happen. Not just that, but Gomez does have a lot of amateur experience, so not going to the olympics is not that big of a deal.

Hey burner....I know you like slick boxers...so what do you think about Michael Hunter? I have never seen a HW fight that type of style and with the right trainer, I feel Hunter will rule the HW division for a long time.

Nobody builds fighters as well as Top Rank does. Damn near all your favorite fighters were built up by Top Rank.

Brought up along means is fighting guys that would make you better. Bring you up gradully. That is something that Golden boy does not do at all. What Golden Boy does is feed you bums and cab drivers and then and then make you skip two or three levels and fight a guy that you not ready for. Like how they are doing with Danny Garcia and Deontay Wilder...

                      Alvarez
                      Gomez
                      Sosa
                      Jones
                      Porter
                      Benavidez
                      Khan
                      Ortiz
                      Berto
                      Brook
