I became a heavyweight because of Coronas and burritos. That's the truth.

Me and a friend were talking about this the other day.

Its like hes not driven enough to stay away from that **** to become the heavyweight champion of the world.

I remember reading a piece on Ali once. He went on to say that he stayed away from all the sugar, candy, ice cream, soda, etc., because he had a goal in mind,

to be the best fighter in the world.

"I'll have all that stuff after I'm retired".

With comments like where Arreola stated about the beer and burritos, then seeing an interview where he said, "I felt sick, I'm not gonna go train if I'm feeling sick", I just don't get that type of feeling that he wants it as bad as Ali did.

Guys leave fat boy alone. You dont have to look like Tyson to be good fighter.

Look at Fedor. He looks like my garbage man.

Nah it aint bout look brotha....your missing the point....yeah he is fat....maybe will always be fat but that's irrelevant....he needs to take himslef seriously if he hopes to have others do the same....he hasn't done **** in the game yet....he got one shot to be someone and got his ass handed to him.....once you become champ and go on to bigger and better things like unify and **** like that then sure talk all the stoopid trash you want you would have earned it at that point......right now Arreola NEEDS TO KEEP HIS NOSE TO THE GROUND PLOWING AWAY AT HIS TRAINING AND SHUT THE **** UP........

I was really high last night and was imagining what a 6'2" 240 lb. Chris Arreola would do in today's heavyweight division. Silly dreams.

That's why Arreola is never going to be a serious threat at heavyweight. Enjoy those Coronas and burritos Chris.

I co-sign this. And, I am an Arreola but you just can't say statement like this... Is like when he said Michael Phelps smokes weed, and I can't drink beer... He just has to be smarter with his words... Statement like this make it seem like he is not discipline and the dedication in the sport...

well all I can say is you are getting the unfiltered Chris and to be honest I would much rather have an honest, this is how I am and feel, Chris than say someone like Vic Ortiz who carefully plans out what he says and really never has anything interesting to speak on

interestingly enough I brought Ortiz into this because when you look at what both say they are saying the same thing

both really dont care who they face

both really treat every fight the same no matter the circumstance

both really do work hard at what they do

yet Chris is by far more interesting to hear

He still needs to control his diet, which is preventing him from fighting to his potential. He can't eat burritos and cornoas and than work in the gym and shed off those pounds, it doesn't work that way. I'm not expecting him to go down to cruiserweight, but really he should be weighting less then 230lbs.
