One of the nicest fighter's I've met. Class act guy. I think he'd be a top fighter at 122 now that Lopez and people left. He needs to step up his comp now though.

Escalante is a beast b. He's the mandatory for the WBA at 122, not 126.

I saw him get knocked out by Pastrana on Solo Boxeo, but come back to brutalize Lock, Starks, and Oliver on FNF. They're decent-good fighters and kid just suffocates and dominates them.

If his chin holds up he can beat Lopez or anyone else and he makes for great fights with pretty much anyone.

              WTF?

Anyways Im a Escalante fan, he makes for exciting fights and is a solid fighter, but he aint no beast, and he aint getting close to beat Juanma, Gamboa or ROjas for that matter!

Yeah, it sounds weird, but the kid looked like he gassed more than anything. He was dominating the fight until then. The way he's looked after the fight, I would attribute the loss to him being unfocused and inexperienced.

Anyway he changed his style up and now he fights like a better version of Katsidis. I see him giving anyone that he's stronger than and shots he could take a ton of trouble.

Earlier when Escalante was coming up, I didn't think to much of him, but he has improved and is on a roll right now. There is a ton of talent in the division so I'm not sure if he'll be able to achieve much, but time will tell.
