That is one of the most brilliant performances i'v ever had the pleasure to watch. Tszyu's counter punching and ability to control the range vs Vernon who is 6' taller and 6' reach advantage is phenomenal.

Tszyu's technical brilliance deteriorated as his pro career went on, in part due to not using his own trainers imo. That fight is the Tszyu that most don't remember. His first 16 or so pro fights you can see those skills but after that they countiuously decreased and he simply relied on his power.

From round 2 on he ****s Forrest.

Also Kostya HAD fast hands for the first half of his pro career.

If Zu kept this style he wouldve beena freak of nature. He was great but damn he was slick in this video. Vernon was fast as hell too.

Well Johnny Lewis his aussie trainer was great for conditioning but in terms of actual boxing knowledge and instructions he wasn't much imo.

I have his career and the first half he is brilliant and i always watch those fights. Mid way through his career he completely abandons his defence and simply relies on his chin which was very solid but not granit.

In fantasy h2h ppl always knock him due to his "slow starts" and "slow handspeed" which always tells me they don't know what they're talking about cuz a prime Tszyu started very fast and had great handspeed.

I just meant that under johnny lewis his technique wasn't emphasized and he was allowed to abandon it. Fundementals is the foundation for the Soviet School and he got away from that.

I've always said that if Kostya had a chance at De La Joto. I think Kostya would have a solid chance at beating him.

But, whenever I have that discussion with people, they think I'm crazy for even thinking that Kostya has a chance. and they all base it on that lost to Vince Phillips.
