    my analysis on corrales castillo

    great fight first off
I know this is kinda late, reason being Ive been kinda buzy, before i watched this fight. Anyhoo....
Both fighters gave it all, in a seasaw battle. We'll skip the bull**** and go straight to the 10th.

    Q:Was it a bad stoppage?
A:If you first only look at the clip, you'll think it was a good stoppage. But if he stopped it on that, he could've stopped it when corrales was down twice earlier in the SAME round. Also, this was not a one sided affair, when he stopped the fight. It was back and forth, and anything could've happened. He coudl've gave him a standing 8 count at least. To judge if the stoppage was good, IMO, you have to look at the whole fight.

riz, the ref was not aloud to give a standing 8 count its written in the rules, and no the ref shoudltn haev stopped it after the 2nd knockdown cause chico was already up on a knee at 6 and when weeks said he was deducting a point chico was coherent enough to contest, he got 20 secs of recoup time u guys cant change that, hell weeks is the one you should be yelling at all that time for the point taken and such is what really caused the long delay. plz just stop. as for the stoppage, did u not see JLC he was dead, and to say just look at the clip? well the clip gives the best view in slow mo u can see JLC was done, thankfully weeks is a good ref and saved that mans career.

everyones entitled to their opinoin. but after the 2nd KD, only one knee, kinda edgy man, he got up at 9. the long delay was also bad. not sayin that weeks is a bad ref. but IMO it could've went on

lol, usually we dont disagreee on to many things lol, also jus to clarify, im not a nuthugger of either fighter. im jus a decent fan. i wanted corrales to beat casamayor, neway.

JLC was out on his feet at the time of the stoppage. I thought it was a good call. It looked like JLC was on his way down till Chico caught him with the last left hook that kinda propped him back on the ropes. With Chico's power & JLC's hands near his waist not defending himself anymore, it could'de been dangerous if he was allowed to tee off on him.

all fighters stay on 1 knee when there down unless they jump up or was a flash KD. everyoen does that u cant wave off a fight if he is on 1 knee ready to get up.

I don't doubt that at all. JLC was out on his feet, he might have taken a knee if he was aware but he was getting hit hard against those ropes & didn't know where he was.
