I'm definitely a spinks fan, he will fight anyone.
His performances against Karmazin and Taylor were amazing!
With that said, he has looked more and more out of shape ever since he fell out with his original trainer. He isn't as mobile and his reflexes have faded. If he stands and trades against Bundrage like he did against Phillips, he may loose this fight.

Me thinks McGirt is the last nail in the coffin for Spinks boxing career, what does anyone see in this McGirt anyway? Whenever i see McGirt i remember him walking Gatti down to the slaughter against Mayweather, he actually trained Gatti to try and outbox Mayweather, when his strengths were power and activity WTF.

As far as I have seen, every fighter in the last few five years that hires Mcgirt starts on a fresh losing streak. The best thing he does as a trainer is throw in the towel after his fighter falls hopelessly behind on the cards and is taking unnessacary punishment.

"Cmon baby, do it like we did in the gym, or I'm stopping the fight."

I think this is a good move for Spinks

He has very good skills and I just sense Buddy is the right kind of trainer for him.

I like his pure boxing ability and his ability to stand in the pocket and not get hit. He is masterful at what he does for sure. He will beat Bundrage badly and it doesn't matter who is in his corner. He fights his style. His trainer is there to grease his face, give him water and hold the spit bucket.

I agree with this post 100%!

I don't know how this will work for Cory, guess we will see!
Glad to see other Spinks fans. He did it all on skill, because he doesn't have power to bail him out. He got robbed against Piccirillo and Phillips and gave Taylor fits and he beat some very good pros (Karmazin, Judah, Gonzales, Mayorga.

I think he's unfairly bashed because he's accomplished a lot in the sport.
Bundrage has very little skill. Unless Cory has declined massively, I see a rather easy decision for Cory.

If it was Williams or some other killer at 154, I could see a tougher fight, but unless K-9 gets extremely lucky early, I see Spinks in a romp.

This article might as well say Spinks is done. Seriously, when was the last time a Buddy McGirt trained fighter won a big fight? I like Spinks, and assume he will beat Brundage, but after that I'm sure he will lose.
