I remember sitting at the lunch table in 2000-2001 and listen to all my Rican friends reasoning as to why the unbeatable Trinidad would ko Jones.

So it was nice to see that fight even though it was a bit late.

I actually really enjoyed this fight. It was just great seeing Roy on top for the last time.

if they would have let trinidad sr wrap his sons hands the way he wanted with tape on the skin to make his punches harder he could have had a chance.

If low blows were legal too. He would have won like he did against Vargas.

I hated the fight. Those are two all time favorites of mine, and I thought it was a bad matchup for so many reasons. It's the only fight ever that I actually was pulling for someone to beat RJJ. **** that fight in fact!

It turned out to be a meaningless fight as far as boxing history goes. Even Jones-Hopkins II is more significant.
