Comments Thread For: Ruslan Chagaev Ready For Meehan, Wants Haye's Title

The upcoming fights cast their shadows: on April 17 in Magdeburg (Zbik vs. Spada) and April 24 Hamburg (Kentikian vs. Raoui) Universum Box-Promotion will present two “Universum Champions Nights”. In order to be in perfect shape some Universum fighters have set up their training camp in the Austrian Alps to build up their fitness level. At the beginning of February trainer Magomed Schaburow took his team including Ruslan Chagaev, Susi Kentikian, Vitali Tajbert, Dimitri Sartison, Eduard Gutknecht and Alexander Alekseev to the skiing resort Soelden. Hansi Neuner and his team of Universum Partner of Boxing Austria have once again provided the best possible training opportunities. [Click Here To Read More]

Chagaev could very well derail the Haye hype train.

What's funny is Haye keeps talking about the Klitschkos, but he can't fight them anyway because he gave up options to Sauerland / King, who want him in with guys they think he can beat for the forseeable future. Maybe that's what Haye really wanted, anyway.

I don't want it to happen but think it might, then the WBA strap falls back into the Ruiz/Chag/Valuev loop.......and the world keeps turning.

If Haye can get himself a fight with Vitali set up, I imagine he'll just ditch the WBA belt. I wouldn't be surprised if the WBA let him have a voluntary defence against Vitali anyway.

Haye will not get anywhere near Vitali unless he's 40+.
