Just rewatched the fight 2 weeks ago with a couple of friends and after the knockdown in the 8th, you could hear Capitello say through the interpreter, "No, that's it, we're gonna stop it. You don't have it anymore". But Marg said no, and went out and gave the fans a KO finish. Is this why they still root for him?

Dude went out like a champ, he took his beating for whatever wrongdoing he tried to commit that night against Mosley and never said a word as he ate leather all night long. Nobody in boxing but Margarito would of taken those bombs for 9 rounds and still live to tell the story, besides being completely dehydrated and mentally broken before the fight he stood there and took his punishment like a proud warrior.
