It is finalized, it's gonna be on Showtime in May.

Marquez looked OK for the few rounds he foguth last time out. Vazquez didn't look too hot though. Rafa's gonna get his revenge.

If the first 3 weren't on PPV this sure as hell shouldn't be.

you're thinkin main event. I meant under the main event. I just dont understand how they make ppv's with unknown fighters when they could get such a good fight for cheap.

Showtime rarely does PPVs these days and this was meant to be a main event and a walk into the sunset fight for both.

They do but rarely.Tyson's last few fights were PPV,Holyfield vs Toney was PPV and moree recently Vargas vs Mayorga.
I'm guessing since the budget difference is big in favor of HBO they can get the bigger name fighters and make PPVs.
Showtime has had better fights recently though.

Where have you been in the last 15 years?

After Tyson got KO'd by Douglas he took a few softer touches. After both his wins over Tillman and Stewart were heavily criticized by Merchant,Tyson said in the post fight interview after Stewart(done by Lampley nonetheless) that he won't fight on HBO again.
Don KIng and Tyson said to HBO to choose between Tyson and Merchant and obviously they chose Merchant so Tyson signed with Showtime.
From the first Ruddock fight on Tyson only fought on Showtime exception being the Lewis fight shown on HBO which was dual channel work anyway.
