I'm gonna stand out on a limb - But I reckon Cotto is the BEST at 140lbs.

I don't think he was exposed by Chop Chop, in fact... I think that fight has made him stronger, I believe he'll now realise that he's not invinsible, and will be a little more carefull coming in throwing the big shots.

I was also VERY impressed with the way that he dealt with adversity... (Yeah I know, Corley did a **** job of trying to finish him when he had him hurt).

I think Cotto would be too BIG and too STRONG for Mayweather, and Cotto would get out-boxed etc at the begining, but Cotto would catch up with Mayweather and stop him from rounds 7-11.

That's my opinion, but the way I see it, If Corley was able to hurt Mayweather then Cotto will DEFINATLY be able to hurt Mayweather!

Personally I think that Mayweather shouldn't be fighting at 140lb, he's too small!... He'd be the king if he moved back down to Lightweight.

Well Corley hurt Cotto so I have no doubts Mayweather wouldnt be able to. Mayweather smacks pretty hard.

I understand where you are coming from though, I know he wants the big fights but there are some damn good fights below the 140 level for Mayweather.

      Castillo
      Corrales
      Barrera
      Morales
      Pacquaio

All good fights, although I would favor Mayweather in all of them.

I think that Cotto might get his shots in cause he can throw lightning combos on the inside and then get out of there, but in the end this might come down to a battle of power, in which case Mayweather takes it, IMO.

There's not guarantee that Cotto would be able to land much anyway. Both are fast but Mayweather is still faster. If it came down to number of punches thrown I'd give it to Floyd easy.

Would be a good fight, though. I could be proven wrong .

            hmm

It was a close fight, but I thought Urkal pipped it by 1 or 2 rounds. - (harris won the re-match, but not by that much).
            1) Harris TKO'd Urkal with a vicious punch. Damn near killed him it looked like. Nothing close about that (this is not to say Harris would beat Mayweather though).

            2) No one at 140 has proved they are better than Floyd and Tszyu. These are the best until something else happens. Cotto had a lot more problems with N'dou and Corley than I figure Floyd would have. Cotto has to hit Floyd enough to hurt him and that is doubtful (also considering Bruseles fights very much like Cotto and Cotto swore up and down that Bruseles would beat Floyd, not to say Bruseles is better than Floyd but it shows Cotto underestimates Floyd and that Floyd can deal with that STYLE).

            3) If Floyd "pulls and RJJ" good for him. That means he did things his own way and fought guys bigger than him and got respect for it. The people that claim RJJ ducked them often times admitted they didn't even want to fight him. Read up.

            4) Floyd has said over and over that he wants Tszyu, and we should believe him because he has a history of fighting the best. I don't particularly like either of the men, but they probably will fight each other within the next year.

            5) If Floyd bypasses 140 (which I doubt) to fight guys like Judah, De La Hoya, Mosley, and Margarito at 147 then no one can fault him for that.

Ok it was the 1st fight but you know what I mean't... I remember at the time seeing it on Eurosport and being amazed that a German (that I thought actually won the fight) lost it on the cards IN GERMANY!!!

You see Mayweather has successfully confused a lot of people into thinking that he fought and Knocked out Lovemore Ndou... That really hard bastard that tested and fought all Shamba Mitchell/Miguel Cotto/and Junior Witter to the scorecards... But he didn't.

Mayweather beat Phillipe "the pudding" Ndou.

No one is confused. I know that Mayweather beat Phillip N'dou from South Africa. Lovermore is who Cotto fought. I'm saying Floyd would have less trouble than Cotto did.

I dunno man... I reckon that Lovemore Ndou beat Shamba Mitchell a couple of years ago. I had Lovemore Ndou winning that fight by 2 or 3 rounds and I thought Mitchell was lucky he was fighting in New York and not Sydney!

Mitchell's a pretty crafty boxer... As is Junior Witter, and they both had a lot of problems with Lovemore.

I reckon not just Floyd Mayweather, but any 140lb fighter would have the same problems with Lovemore Ndou.

Lovemore Ndou is under-rated and a very dangerous fighter!

Floyd has everything he needs to clean out the 140lb division. He shouldn't go to 147 to finish his career. Oscar already said he won't fight him. He should fight Sugar Shane Mosley and go back to 140lbs.
