This is a **** fight to have on an undercard. Why not a fight like Saul Alvarez-Delvin Rodriguez?

delvin rodriuez? he's lost two in a row,and he's unknown,remember matthew is "ricky hatton's brother"...believe it or not,that helps sell a little more than a fight with rodriguez,people in england will be interested as to how "ricky's brother" does against a prospect they are hyping up as the next great champ...don't even see the point of even mentioning delvin,he's a nobody...hatton is still better than others he's faced and he needs to come up little by little,besides delvin is fighting a jr welter in april

i'm not that excited for this fight, because its matt hatton, but alvarez is only 20 years old, so his level of competition at this point is very promising

alvarez is 19 years old, not 20. He has 30 fights. That´s impressive no matter who you have faced. He can fight mayweather if he wins a couple more fights.

now that would be a test, and a very interesting fight to see. though if i was alvarez i would want to be fighting a collazo, or that level fighter if my next fight was against berto. assuming berto wins.

Even better man! Saul Alvarez testing himself with Collazo would be great to see if he has what it takes to go after Berto or Quintana, seeing as Berto went life and death with Collazo and the decision could have went either way.

That match-up would be smart. Edwin valero is currently going down the same smart path. Instead of jumping in with Bradley for his first fight at 140 he's testing the waters with Peterson.

I think buddy was joking. and if floyd is fighting either hatton or alvarez after mosly than that is just pathetic. Alvarez beating hatton proves very little, it is a small stepping stone, but still does not make him a legit contender in any way.

No dumb ass. This is a good opportunity for golden boy to promote a fight between mayweather vs Alvarez. Honestly Mathew Hatton has just as much of a shot beating Saul Alvarez as I do knocking out manny pacquiao in the 2nd round. Come on, your most likely from england and you have no idea who Saul Alvarez is and you don't know anything about the sport of boixing to think Mathew Hatton has a shot at beating any decent fighters. Mathew Hatton is a grade C- fighter if even that. He's a little bit worse then Carl Froch and that is saying alot.

You totally missed the joke - but to clarify, i'm from the US, not from the UK, I know who Alvarez is. Hatton is alot worse than Froch actually, and its true i know nothing about the sport of "boixing" but i do know a bit about boxing.
