    Gatt/Mayweather or Tito/Wright? More lopsided

Conventional wisdom suggests that Gati/Mayweather would be the more lopsided fight.. But Gatti has heart, something Tito never had.. Therefore I think this will be a closer fight than what we saw Saturday night. Could Gatti win 3 or 4 rounds against Mayweather?

I doubt it, Mayweather will slap him around and win a land slide decision or stop him late.

If Gatti manages to win any rounds it will be early before Mayweather discourages Gatti to even throw a punch.

Gatti has never been in the ring at anytime with a fighter like Mayweather, Mayweather will show him things he has never seen before. Thunder and heart means nothing, he will get a bigger beating than what DLH did.

people are going to let this Winky/Tito fight define Tito's ENTIRE career...

imagine this Winky fight never happened, you mean to tell me Tito never had heart?

I dont think the Winky fight will do anything to his career in the long term. To me the Winky fight means nothing, I thought his retirement the first time was the best time to leave and I can only acknowledge that.

But people are also forgetting that Winky is a class act top professional boxer it isnt like he got outclassed by some bum. Winky is the real deal, there is a reason he was ducked for so many years.

The fight with Winky proved nothing, we already knew Felix couldnt deal with a boxer who had a strong jab..Infact most fighters cant.

His actions after the Hopkins fight told me about his character.. People make excuses for him and said he wanted Hopkins again but thats what he said to save face.. He could have taken less money and made the fight happen!! He ran back to PR!! Lets see what happens here.. We all know that Winky has offered hima rematch.. If he takes it I'll admit I was wrong about him.. If he chooses not to avenge his loss against Winky I may be on to something

^what? so to prove he has heart to you he has to risk brain damage fighting someone who comprehensively battered him and out-fought him on every level?
Tito proved to me he had heart by staying in the ring with winky and getting up round after round despite having nothing with which to turn the tide of a completely one-sided fight. That took real guts (and ******ity inherent to anyone who steps into the squared circle, including myself)

                hmm

People expected Tito to beat Wright. People expect Mayweather to beat Gatti. Only difference is more people expect Gatti to lose to Mayweather than thought Wright would lose to Tito.

Anyway, to answer the question...Gatti and Mayweather will not be so one-sided as Tito-Wright. Tito lost 120-107 which may be the biggest 12 round blowout ever. Gatti is not one-dimensional like Tito, so he will have success here and there (though more than likely not enough to win the fight unless he gets the KO).

Mayweather could outclass Gatti for the most part, and win most of the rounds but it won't be as embarrassing as what Tito suffered. Gatti will probably get "lucky" and at least hurt Floyd once or twice. He also has a real chance at a KO (though still not likely).

We will never know until the fight happens but obviously Tito was thought by many to KO Wright and instead he lost EVERY SINGLE ROUND.

Tito is a very good one dimensional fighter. Wright is a very good complete fighter. People should give Wright his due instead of saying Tito is a fraud, etc. (^_^)

Great post, couldn't have said it any better...

Saturday wasn't asbout Tito being lousy or old or even 1-dimensional, it was about Winky being flat-out awesome, and proving that he's a 7-figure fighter who deserves big fights

Tito and Winky will be the more lopsided in that Tito did not win any rounds. I expect Gatti to win a round or two no matter how much worse off he is on the talent side. Gatti and Mayweather will the more lopsided in that Gatti will hit the deck a few times before finally getting KO'ed...
