1990 Roy Jones @ 160 vs Paul Williams

how do you guys see it happening?

the volume and relentlessness of The Punisher vs the reflex and athleticism of Roy Jones

i have Roy by KO in the mid rounds...i see Williams getting dropped from punches he doesn't see either

Come on Makavelli, you could of made a better thread than this. You answered this whole threads question correctly.

Roy owns Pwilliams. Roy was so atheletic and fast at that weight class it wasn't even funny. He had ridiculous power and also he chin was very good. Pwill, on the other hand, is not a legit Middleweight. I say he is best at 154 and maybe 147 due to him being bigger than everyone.

I like Paul Williams and everything, good fighter, never boring, wants to fight everyone but Roy Jones was a beast at 154-168, goddamn superhuman ability.

        Jones takes it.

Williams would get destroyed. Way too easy to hit for a prime Jones.

I think it would look like Jones-Hall but only Williams would probably look less clumsy and get his few hits in but still get embarrassed to a 12 round shut out or maybe winning 1 or 2 pitty rounds.

Terry, believe it or not, there is at least one poster on this site that didn't think Roy had talent and just got by on reflexes

as for my prediction, its one possibility...another would be; Paul's volume might have bothered Roy and forced him into a brawl...weird things happen when you take fighters out of their comfort zone and get into wars

just curious to see what the others think...that's all

Makaveli you are a shot poster....what poster or what thread ruined you.LOl j/k

But just some FYI...both Toney and B-hop are two of the greatest defensive fighters at MW of all time and Roy made them look like sparring partners. Pwill defense is not good at all and Roy wouldn't miss him, even if he tried.

oh, i wasn't bashing you, I was jk. I just think RJJ's power and mix of speed would completely break the punisher down. The punisher would get wasted in this fight. That's my prediction.

I mean maybe Williams would bother Jones initially with his volume punching, but when you have a big man like that who is aggressive, he becomes a big target. Imagine how easily and often Roy would tag him.
