Is it me or does Peterson team not give a **** about his career?

He struggled against a pressure fighter in Bradley and got outworked. Not they want to put him in against Valero? I mean why would you allow a talented kid like Lamont to be treated like an opponent. If Lamont was 30 plus then maybe, but I think his team should take a step back (like Victor Ortiz team did) and work on buiding him back up against lesser fighters with similar styles.

Angulo got outboxed by Cintron but instead of feeding him to the wolves again, Shaw put him in the ring against a c-class fighter with good boxing skills, Rosado, and then stepped it up against a B-class fighter that also has good boxing skills. Neither were elite, but both would help Angulo develop and learn to fight guys that possess a similar style that lead to his first Loss (all while not taking a big risk).

If Im team peterson I put him against a c-class pressure fighter like Campbell, Torres, Castillo etc.

peterson can box better than valero but overall valero is better.. he is fast and relentless and like one guy said earlier is like bradley... now through in he is a southpaw and a ko artist.. and bradley hurt peterson.. bradley has like a 40 % not bad but valero is 100%

bradley's a relentless pressure fighter but he didnt fight like a relentless pressure fighter in that fight. peterson tried to drag him into a brawl and it didnt work. in that fight, bradley showed facets of his game that he had never shown before. the ability to box from the outside and fight off his back foot.

you can count on team peterson not making that same tactical mistake vs valero. peterson has better boxing skills than valero.

i for one appreciate what team peterson is trying to do. theyre not ducking and dodging, pulling out of fights and taking minimal risks. its a breath of fresh air in this day and age that a fighter is willing to challenge himself.

I think there is some truth to this.

You make a good point about Angulo, so I can't really argue but at the same time I am one of those who thinks Peterson can win against Valero.

His fight with Bradley was very competitive even though I agreed with the scores.

Its probably best he take at least a decent mid level tune up though.

he definitely should fight a tune up and not valero, they are using him as a good name on his resume..this is a bad move for his career
