I've seen both of Shumenov's fights with Campillo. IMO, he's should consider himself very, very lucky he has a belt. There was nothing controversial about Campillo getting the decision in the first fight, the very best you could have it for Shumenov was in fact a draw. Even then I find it a bit of a stretch.

Everyone knows what happened in the second fight.

If Shumenov wants to stay a "champion", his best bet is keep fighting feather fisted opponents, even then it's not a sure bet as Campillo could have taken him out in the second fight had he stepped on the gas. Anyone with decent pop or a decent pressure fighter will stop him. In both fights against Campillo, he was gassed by the 6th round or so. I know Dawson hasn't knocked someone out in years, but Shumenov would be stopped.

excellent post. shumanov will get murked by any boxer or pressure fighter that moves his head in a big way. his punches are sooooooo telgraphed, campillo is a good boxer and he made shumenov look like a kid. i feel like he's on a bugs bunny cartoon he winds up his punches so much

Dawson would humiliate Shumenov or Pascal. Calzaghe would've probably lost to him too. The winner of the Super Six has the best chance of taking Dawson's title.

dawson would end his life after 3 rounds...now a fight between dawson and campillo would be nice...but i'd like to see a few more fights with him...including his vengence match against shumenov...
