Correct but the writer does not clarify this point by stating that there are other Mexican boxers that won three diferent titles in different divisions althought they were not WBC belts. Barrerra & JMM whom fall in this category would outclass Soto even if they didn't win three WBC titles in three different division.Comment

It sucks.Today's sanctioning bodies allow fighters to match and/or break legendary records.
For example the pathetic Omar Narvaez "breaking" Carlos Monzon's record of titles defenses for an argentinian it's ridiculous, Monzon fought great opposition and he was the lineal MW championship while Narvaez fought bums.Comment

¿How is Soto going to a third title with out fighting the official champion?
Valero is still the official WBC 135 lbs champ, he hasn't vacated the title...¿So how is Soto going to get that title fighting Diaz?..Diaz is ranked #7 in the WBC..If anything Soto should fight the #1 contender Anthony Peterson(who I think he'll definitely beat Soto) & if the title is vacated then the winner could be called the champion..This is a definitely scumbag Sulaiman scheme...Comment

A lot of haters in this thread.
Valero/Soto was done, but Valero ****ed up and couldn't get his visa. Pacquiao/Soto was being talked about, but Pac had bigger an dbetter things to take care of. Lorenzo getting that B.S. decision hurt him as well. Soto is anything but a bum, and certainly not afraid to step up.Comment
