Yeah. I would have wanted to see it immediatly after Pavlik, Hopkins looked great in that fight. Instead he did nothing for one and a half year.
Now he is going to fight Roy instead. I think that showes pretty clearly that he want's no part of Dawson.

IMO it would be, but in a historical sense the Trinidad win might be bigger if Dawson doesn't keep winning after the fact. Trinidad is/was a Hall of Famer and 2 or 3 P4P.

A win over Dawson launches B-Hop into a top 30 spot.

Trinidad was a good win but Trinidad was a small middleweight. A Dawson win would be greater for Hopkins, beating the man at light heavy at 45 years of age, that would be huge.

Yea, but the opening post said that Assuming Chad wins all the belts and chooses to unify against Hopkins. The hype and build up would be ridiculous. It would trump a Tito win, IMO.

any version of hopkins never beats chad dawson...dawson isn't a small, slow, one dimensional, come forward fighter...the type that hopkins looks his overrated best against...hopkins biggest excuse when it comes to dawson is the $...

Newsflash. Hopkins isn't rated #2 by the Ring anymore. Glen Johnson is. This is why Dawson needs to fight Cloud once he beats Johnson.
