To bad all but the berto fight are on ppv. Boxing really took a step backwards this year in that regard.

Cotto V Foreman will be HBO WCB. Also, most of the good fights in the sport will be held on reg HBO and SHO. Pavlik V Martinez, Arreola V Ademek, Khan/Paulie, Dawson/Pascal, Williams Juan Marquez and Bradleys return, the Super 6, and Vazquez/Marquez will all be non ppv fights. That's just fights up till the start of June. 2010 is going to be on fire.

Speak for yourself, elmalo. Cotto still has a big fanbase, and just cuz he lost a couple fights to big names doesn't mean he's irrelevant. His record is still very good.

Although I wish Juanma was on the undercard, he is fighting in Puerto Rico with Valero on the undercard in June. The undercard for the Cotto fight is pretty much set: Winky Wright is gonna be the co-main event vs TBA. Lamont Peterson vs. Kendal Holt (both Top Rank). And John Duddy will bring his NY fans to the stadium vs. TBA. It would be nice to have Calderon or Juanma, however.

A contest in this venue would be huge for Boxing. I was fortunate to have been present at Ali/Norton and vividly recall feeling as if Kenny had earned the nod. The Stadium feel added an extra, electric sensation and dimension.
Cotto has a huge heart but Foreman is tall and can cut a man like Miguel with that long reach. Yuri can box more then a little. This could be an exciting match, especially with the added roar of 30,000 Tri State fans whom I believe would fill the place. I live 20 minutes away and would truly love to spend a June, Yankee Stadium evening with the great fight fans of New York.

but with cotto now fighting foreman in a few months, alot of people are saying how exciting of a fight that would be. why isnt it cherry picking for cotto, but is considered cherry picking for pacquiao?
This guy is a noob, but his post is spot on.
