    Lets think objectively here....

What would everyone say if felix trinidad beat hopkins in a rematch? I personally think the internet would melt down from the flood of tito nuthuggers posting.

the only way i see tito beating hopkins is if hopkins fights like a normal age 40+ fighter. hopkins is a freak though he is hitting his prime like barry bonds

Hopkins can't last forever. It's perfectly possible that Tito beats an aged Hopkins in an upset the size of their first fight. If he does, who knows what happens. Mebbe he rematches Quartey, Vargas or De la Hoya. Maybe Taylor is finally old enough for the fight of his career. Maybe he jumps up another weightclass and fights a super middle, Danny Green mebbe, or perhaps Jeff Lacy. Mebbe even Joe Calzaghe. But the fact of the matter is, a win over Hopkins would change his all-tme standing in a major way, but none of his immediate options very much.

Agreed...although I think Lacy or Green would be career suicide for Tito. Lacy is a killer. I still don't see him beating Hop though. Not now and not in a year. I agree with fix...Hop is boxings Barry Bonds or Brett Favre.

barry bonds the best baseball player of our generation and has over 700 homeruns and has been awarded the mvp 7 times(more than anyother player ever. he is still playing and i think he is 40 or near it.

brett favre the green bay packer quarterback who has started 200 consecutive football games ( remember that there is only 16 games in a season) and is consistantly one of the best players in the league. he is a multiple mvp winner and also owns a super bowl ring.

i ws gonna post pics but lately they havent been working

unless hopkins seriously declines in skill he completely counters trinidads style.

hopkins constantly circles tito left, not giving tito a chance to land his trade mark left hook and bringing trinidads bad footwork comes into play. slowly blodding forward, he is severely disadvantaged from a distance. hopkins keeps his hands up for 12 rounds, and wont be koed by a single shot. did trinidad ever get off combinations in the fight? anytime trinidad did get off the left hook hopkins immediately countered with right hands (youre always open to the right when you throw a lefthook), whether he blocked or got hit by them never letting tito get the best of exchanges. i think if trinidad did some more body work he could make the fight more competitive but hes going to pay a high price for it, anyone depending on hooks is always going to be open to be countered. in conclusion, tito will need to ko hopkins, a man who has never been stopped, using an accumulation of punches, something hopkins never lets his opponents do these days. not an easy task for trinidad

I don't think anyone should be holding their breath waiting for Hopkins to get old. He is a Gym rat that isn't prone to injury. Never hurt, never out of shape.

Tito didn't look as good as he did around the time he fought Hopkins. Hopkins has maybe slowed just a little bit. Tito has to be better.....much better.....than he was when he fought Hopikins the first time, he isn't....he looks worse than before.

Tito needs to transform himself to win this fight.
