To me speed is consistent and continous. To fire off a jab or a 1-2 faster is more a measure of quickness and agility than handspeed.

i feel that...but at the same time...to be able to put a fist in a person's face in between them trying to throw a punch takes hand speed...if you're going to simply go off of someone throwing continuous punches...floyd still might have the advantage from his pad work...but then you have a lot of boxers all of a sudden in the running...pac and floyd are top 5 in hand speed to me and that's off of getting a punch off while moving...that's always how we determined hand speed in the ring...cause damn near everyone in the gym could throw 100 punches at the bag...
