Mosley isnt coming into this fight after years of wars including two slugfests with Ivan Robinson, a life and death type fight with Wilson Rodriguez and Gabrielle Ruelas, a beating from Oscar, a war with Angel Manfredy, A trilogy with Mickey Ward etc.
In boxing its more about how much punishment you've taken. And even though Gatti was only 33 when he fought floyd and Shane is nearing 40...at 33 Gatti had taken 10 times more punishment then Shane has had in his entire career.

struglerer you're an idiot. Mosley has every physical advantage over Floyd along with speed and power. The only thing he's missing to be a completed fighter is footwork and a jab, but hey you can't have everything (even Pacquiao lacks in a few categories, surprisingly). So how the hell is Floyd supposed to Gatti him under those circumstances? Your only saying this because you didn't think Floyd would take this fight, so now your belittling him. If Floyd had chosen Paul Williams or Kermit Cintron you would be saying that Williams is overrated, has no skill and was exposed by Sergio Martinez or Cintron is punch drunk/C class.
Gatti was never really a top tier fighter. He was just very entertaining to watch. Heck, even a prime Chop Chop would have beaten him senseless. The guys he had wars with/got KO'ed by were getting KO'ed left and right. Didn't Floyd stop Angel Manfredy in like 2 rounds? And I remember a young Zab Judah destroying Mickey Ward just as badly.
Mosley is a different story. Mayweather isn't destroying him. Pacquiao definitely isn't destroying him (style wise this can be a great fight for Mosley because they're both come forward type fighters and Mosley is much bigger) and I think Mosley would outbox Williams if they fought. The only fighters who give Mosley problems are big, skilled fighters with great jabs.Comment
