i remember when i was young and still in Cuba, gonzales was almost god-like to us kids. and he was not like the other boxers on the national team because he had no attiude and he was always happy and making jokes

it doesn't get any better than Cloud-Dawson, imo. Stylewise, it just has the ingredients for a great fight.

Pascal is good and all but he isn't an elite fighter and I think chad should win relatively easily.

Hopefully cloud gets by Johnson, if he does, he'll be ranked #2 and Dawson will be #1. At that point, it doesn't matter if cloud is a big name or not, them fighting eachother would mean there would finally be one true champion at 175.

I spent a lot of time with the Cuban team in 1994 (I drove Teo Stevenson to the mall to buy shoes)...and Felix Savon joked around a lot, he was very playful, I liked him...

I also am pretty sure I caught DIOSBELYS HURTADO in the middle of trying to defect...it was at the hotel/motel on the grounds of Foxwoods...it was around 3 am...him and another guy...I took them by surprise in the hotel stairwell, they looked shocked...a few days later they successfully defected for good...

Dawson vs Pascal, and Dawson vs Cloud are great matchups. However, Cleverly will soon be joining the elite at LHW, and will pose problems for all 3 of those guys.

Cleverly is the real deal. He just needs to tighten up his defence a little bit.

How is Pascal not an elite fighter? He'd beat Cloud... We're basing so much of Cloud's praise off of him shutting CLINTON WOODS out. Clinton Woods... Come on now.

Pascal more than proved himself by beating Diacanou twice, with the bad injury last time, too...who is Cleverly, from where??? I dont know him...

Not sure how Diobelys eventually did it...not sure where he expected to go that night I walked up on him...he probably realize he'd have had to to walk 10 miles from Foxwoods to get to civilization and turned back...
