Both guys Caballero lost to in the past were similarly sized southpaw boxers. Ricardo Cordoba being the better of the two. Cordoba had good timing and a fair amount of punching power, but isn't quite the talent that JM Lopez is.

Granted that Caba wasn't at his best back then, but he was good enough to come back a fight later and pitch a virtual shut out on Ponce. I just find that interesting. Caba seems to be more hittable against southpaws and he may not take the punches so well when a good puncher with great timing like JM Lopez starts cracking him consistently.

well in that interview that I post.... he doesnt talk all that smack... hes very gentle and gives props to everyone. .including lopez gamboa etc.. etc...


caba only wants to fight... and a guy like him.. who doesnt have the backup of a multim illion company HBO also doesnt have the best promoter.... thats the only way.... he can make some noise.. and grab some attention....


because of that... I give caba a free pass on what hes doing with lopez!!

I usually don't make picks until fight week after studing fight tape closely of both and comparing styles but right now I'd say Gamboa is so explosive and getting more steady not lunging in so wildly that I have to pick him.
Caballero didn't look so mpressive his last few fights with Leal and the other guy he fought in Panama.
I'd say Gamboa by KO.

I beleive that celestino will get stronger @ 126 im pretty sure.. hes having a hardtime going to 122 just like williams have a hardtime going down to 147.


I think celestino will be a very LIVE UNDERDOG .. going into his fight with gamboa.. not comparing gamboa to pdl.. but remember their fight.....


celestino didnt hurt him or anything.. but he used very well his height advantage with pdl.. and that could be the case with gamboa.... his only problem is that...

gamboa is so damnn fast... that he can manage his way to land several combos...time will tell.. but this fight .. is gonna be more idifficult for gamboa of what many ppl think..
