Both guys Caballero lost to in the past were similarly sized southpaw boxers. Ricardo Cordoba being the better of the two. Cordoba had good timing and a fair amount of punching power, but isn't quite the talent that JM Lopez is.
Granted that Caba wasn't at his best back then, but he was good enough to come back a fight later and pitch a virtual shut out on Ponce. I just find that interesting. Caba seems to be more hittable against southpaws and he may not take the punches so well when a good puncher with great timing like JM Lopez starts cracking him consistently.
