to be considered an all time great??? or to be considered a legend??? i always thought that a legend status couldnt be out done... but then reading some articles and posts it seems like an all time great is the highest status a boxer can have... a friend says u have to be in the hall of fame to be considered an atg... but u dont have to be in the hall of fame to be considered a legend??? does any of this make sense to yall??? m i thinking too much about something that isnt important?
What status is more prestigious???

Good analysis. TBH, in that context being a legend might be better. Some guys with ATG skills are overlooked since they weren't as sensational. Being a legend simply means you're never overlooked or forgotten, people will talk about you forever. Of course some guys are both though.Comment

Legends did something that made people stop what they were doing and pay attention, they get remembered forever for what they did. It doesn't necessarilly have to even be about boxing, like someone said about Naseem Hamed and his flamboyant self.
An ATG is basically based on skills and accomplishments in the boxing ring regardless of what they did outside it or how they were in popular culture.Comment
