Erdei never said he'd stay at cruiserweight. That was a circumstance thing.

I guess, if Bonsu should unexpectedly lose to Bailey, the WBA will be ready with another eliminator against someone like Sebastian Lujan or Pablo Vasquez....
You're right, it's almost like Bonsu is being promoted by somebody like the Don King of the 70s and 80s or Universum. No matter what he does, he stays near the top of the rankings. I almost wish they would just give him the ****** title shot so he can get KO'd and go away at this point

Erdei is still the Lineal Light Heavy weight champion. No way he'll go into a fight as a mandatory challenger especially for the EBU "championship".

Erdei won the WBC cruiserweight trinket weighing 179 pounds. It was a one time thing, and he immediately vacated the trinket. He is a light heavy.

Erdei is today's Ottke, or even worse, I'm glad he's fighting a living body.

Erdei is not a Cruiserweight, he vacated the title and asked the WBC to rank him as a LHW.

I would guess it has more to do with Cleverly's #5 ranking with the WBC than wanting an EU title belt.

The guys ranked ahead of Cleverly have no more business in the ring with Dawson than Erdei does.

Chris Henry, Karo Murat, Danny Green and Dawid Kostecki.

The winner of Erdei-Cleverly will likely be awarded a fight for the Mandatory Challenger spot by the WBC and the right to face the eventual winner of Dawson-Pascal.
