tyson is a prime example..sure he had power..but his skill and ellusivness led to alot of his ko's..when he lost site of that his career went downhill...ko's mostly come from skill then power..dont get me wrong power is what you need for ko's/..but it has to be from a punch the other fighter doesnt see coming....counter puncher lead to the most exciting ko's..but to be an effective counter puncher you need reflexes, timing and ellusivness,,,skills pay the bills baby..power is good but you need more than power to be an effective fighter

Agree, look at Kendall Holt that guy has a hell of a punch its just he doesn't let his hands go enough.

You have to throw punches to produce a ko, that is just basic stuff.

Yeah, that's why Shane Mosley not moving up in weight earlier in his career probably hurt him, he fell too much in love with his power at lightweight.

Ageed. Tszyu, Jirov, Darchinyan all suffered from this to one extent or another. I'm hoping that the same thing doesn't happen to Korobov, he seems to hit pretty good with both hands and watching him throw away the rest of his skill like Tszyu would be heartbreaking.

Yeah, Tysons elusiveness is just crazy, until this day ive never seen a heavyweight with the lateral movement he had, speed and power combination....

Sad he couldnt stay on the right path....im pretty sure we would of had a top 5 ATG on the way

Juan Manuel Lopez is currently suffering from it. He found someone in Mtagwa who could take his shots and was dangerously close to being stopped late in the 12th.
