Martinez will do Pavlik nastier than Hopkins did.

Martinez will hurt and stagger Pavlik at times. The only way I see Pavlik winning is if Martinez gasses from throwing, Kelly's pressure, and from the few clean shots he's gonna take.

Other than that, Sergio has the hand, foot, and reflex speed, explosiveness, power, and lateral movement that will give Pavlik tons of trouble.

I don't think Martinez isn't going to be as effective as Bernard was. You're talking about 2 totally different fighters and styles. Martinez did really good against Williams, but you can't overlook Pav's experience and the fact that he's a stronger puncher than Williams is. Plus, Pavlik does something PWill still has trouble doing...using his reach. I think it'll be a bit of a struggle for Pavlik in the beginning, but I think a lot of people have blown up Martinez just off the Williams fight and for Martinez...hopefully that fight hasn't gone to his head thinking the shots he got from Williams will mirror Pavlik's.

Should be a fun watch though.

No,not Hopkins style,Martinez style.

While I basically think he will win he ain't as strong asHopkins nor as good on the inside.
Pavlik's pressure might cause him problems late in the fight aswell.

Martinez and hopkins have nothing in common bernard is bigger stronger and the better boxer without question pavlik went up in weight to fight hopkins sergio martinez will be fighting at 160 for just the second time in his career. pavlik is clearly the bigger guy in this fight unlike against hopkins and if you saw the williams martinez fight you would notice that sergio was rocked and hit a lot what happens when those punches come from the hardest hitter he has ever faced??
