You're missing the point. Someone said that Marg is still a top ranking Welterweight. He's not. So I was simply pointing out that that poster was wrong.

He should have been banned for life, but if he's going to be allowed to fight again, he should at least fight a contender to prove he's still got it, before being given a huge payday against the P4P #1.

And all his major wins from the past are suspect, now that he's been caught with loaded gloves.

You think only people with infallible crystal balls are boxing experts? GTFOOH. That's a ridiculous thing to say.

In any case, you're completely missing the point yet again. I was replying to someone who claimed that only someone who was incredibly biased and in the pay of GBP could possibly rank Mayweather in the Welterweight rankings. I simply pointed out that according to his logic, pretty well every boxing expert in the world must be incredibly biased and in the pay of GBP. Which they obviously are not, so his claim was silly. You should learn to read.

Margarito, perfect style of opponent for Pac, Mexican face first brawler, his favorite kind. Keep running from pure boxers Pacsy, your good at it.

When he fought a legit fight (when they removed the pads,) everyone saw what happened to him, he got his ass handed to him. The irony

first of all, when he fought a legit fight, he tore up cotto, cintronX2 and plenty others...yeah he got his ass handed to him by shane but (taking no credit away from shane's performance) who in this world would've been mentally stable to fight after the circus that just went on 1/2 hr ago in their dressing room...dude, don't be such an ass and accept the fact that margarito is just a beast who will give anyone a run for their money...stop lying to yourself.

Pacquiao would get murdered. It's not even funny. Margarito would brutalize poor Pacquiao.

Even though Pacquiao is best when fighting dudes who come at him face first. Margarito is tooooooooo freakin durable to get put down. Unlike Diaz and all the old farts that Pacquiao faught. Margarito's output matches that of Pacquiao's.

Difference? Margarito grinds you down and doesn't have a Cotto chin. Expect Pacquiao to look like Cotto in the later rounds.

I don't know. Margarito would have to walk through some big punches. Pacquiao will land and it won't be like Cotto. He didn't walk through Mosley's punches, if I recall correctly. Can he walk through a couple of those lefts that flattened Hatton? He'll certainly leave himself open for them as he tries to walk Pac down. I'm not too sure, especially when I think of the 500 other punches Pacquiao will land.

                    Pacquiao's power < Mosley's power

Pacquiao just has the speed edge and even then, he doesn't fight smart like Mosley does. Before Margarito could punch back, Mosley would clinch. How many times has Pacquiao clinched in his career?

Margarito can endure a ton of damage. Even against Mosley, he didn't lose until the late rounds. Margarito also throws just as many punches as Pacquiao and Margarito cuts off the ring beautifully. Not to mention leverage is on Margarito's side, as he will be punching down while Pacquiao is punching up. Margarito would end up crushing him in the late rounds.

Like Freddie says, "Head shots go away but body shots stay forever". Margarito goes both high and low, Pacquiao only goes to the head. It won't end well for Pacquiao.

I don't know, Pacquiao goes to the body as well. It's subtle but he makes them count. Doubled Oscar with a couple, clubbed Hatton with one a little bit before the finale and dug into Cotto as well. Pacquiao lands everywhere. Mosley may be the heavier puncher punch for punch but Pacquiao has that one hitter quitter. And he'll land it a lot more than once against Margarito.
