Yeah, this might be a factor. Hit and getting hit ain't such a big deal when you have done it enought time. It might be easy to adopt that perspective outside the ring and forget that it is not how the average guy sees it.

I went to all his court dates in his support and watched as one women after another came up and asked for their protective orders against their scumbag boyfriends be dropped because they couldn't handle life without their drunk, abusive men.
