a lot of people don't have hbo/show, that's the problem. UFC replays their ppvs and best fights on Spiiike tv (i dont know why this forum blocks out "****e"?). If boxing were to do that, they would definitely get more attention from the general public.

For example, Fedor fought on CBS for Christ's sake. Dude is one of the top 2 lb4lb MMA fighter in the world. Imagine Pac or Floyd fighting on network tv. but that wont happen because of $$$$$. but the fact is that MMA is getting so much exposure. Boxing promotors/organizations should at least think about it you know?

LOL, I like how they mentioned WWE's worldwide ppv numbers and didn't mention however many Pacquiao-Cotto got in the UK. You're pretty much on point with the first 2.

      Pacquiao-Clottey - 600-800K
      Hopkins-Jones - 150-300K
      Mayweather-Mosley - 1.3-1.5M
      Mayweather-Pacquiao - 3.4-3.6M

Yeah, those numbers are fabricated. For all we know they have moles that deliberately put out exaggerated numbers. Most boxers fighting on HBO are getting paid 6 digits and only the main event UFC fighters get paid 6 digits and that's only if they're a big name.

How about the fact that there is A LOT (even more this year) more boxing on TV then all MMA shows in general.

Just the new Fox Sports Net deal with Top Rank and Golden Boy has more TV dates then all the combined MMA on network/cable/premium cable TV (CBS, S-pike, VS, Showtime and HDNet).

The UFC ****s its customers with like 14-16 PPVs a year, remember the days when HBO PPV did that? Everyone was outraged, boxing is dying ra ra ra...

The 'hardcore' UFC fan is a special breed of idiot. If the card is weak (as has been often the case for the past 10 months) they will justify it by saying that the unknown guys always put forth the best fights...but if its any other type of MMA not promoted by the UFC they will crucify the show even if its a great card. They are brainwashed, branded fans. That's how even a pathetic show like UFC 108 can still pull in 250k buys.

It's gonna backfire in a few years.

^^yep UFC is doing the same **** they said boxing was doing to their fans.

It works for them now though. They seem to have a steady core of fans that constantly buy the PPV's and the big ones will get the casual fans into it as well.

But I wonder.. I few more years like that, 14-16 ppv's, if UFC will have the same appeal or not as a result.
