WBO Junior-Welterweight champ Timothy Bradley is from Palm Springs California and came up the ranks fighting on local Thompson Boxing-promoted shows throughout Southern California. He has amassed a 25-0 record and ESPN analyst Teddy Atlas recently stated that he believes Bradley is the third best pound-for-pound fighter in the world right behind Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather.

At the moment, Bradley is looking for a big-name opponent for a bout tentatively scheduled for May and promoter Bob Arum recently mentioned the WBO 140-pound champion as a possible opponent for Edwin Valero, the undefeated knockout artist who just recently captivated an American audience for the first time with his demolition of Antonio De Marco on Showtime in a defense of his WBC 135-pound world championship.
According to Alex Camponovo, the General Manager and matchmaker of Thompson Boxing, Bradley’s co-promoter, Valero’s people aren’t interested in the fight and commented, “We want to fight him with our eyes closed, but now they are thinking about it twice and it’s not going to happen. I know for a fact that they don’t want to take it after all. They started talking about how there’s no money and there’s no this. They just don’t want to take the fight at the moment.”
According to Camponovo, a clash with New Yorker Zab Judah, a two division champion, is a real possibility, “There’s a possibility of fighting Zab Judah, which is not a great fight style-wise, but I know Timothy’s game and he wants to fight him and I also think there is some interest on the side of Zab,” noted Camponovo. A Bradley-Judah fight would be a attractive match up that could propel the winner into a match with one of the sport's superstars.
