I totally agree, Cotto has mad skills and is one of the most technically proficent boxers out there.

Right now I'd say Hatton until he proves otherwise.

I mean, I'm not saying he's some great fighter, but he's no push over.

I really would love to know what you think is going to hold Cotto back however. Don't give me that reach and "he can be outboxed" crap either. Anyone can be "outboxed" on the wrong night. Cotto has no glaring weaknesses and he might have the best all around skill set (offensive, mental, defensive) in the game today IMO. And yes I am one of those people who thinks Cotto will take over boxing and I've thought that way since his fight with Jukko. His track record for such a low number of fights is impressive IMO. Bailey is a filler fight and after he disposes of him we'll se him get to the big boys.

Five fighters that would dominate Cotto...

          1)Mayweather
          2)Witter
          3)Hatton
          4)Tszyu
          5)Mitchell

          Also in the running...
          Abduelev
          Leija
          Kotelnik
          M'baye
          Urkal

Pinto was aboslute garbage! Give me one legit fighter he knocked out.

Pinto only had 20 fights to his name when he fought Cotto. He had gotten the UD over Augustus who is skilled and can be dangerous when he actually feels like boxing. It's hard to name a lot of legit fighters in anyones first 20 fights these days. Cotto has fought Jukko, N'Dou, Bazan, Sosa, Ceballos, and Pinto all inside his first 21 fights, and he knocked em all out except N'Dou. These aren't cream of the crop guys but this is better than many other fighters. Hell, Tito Trinidads comp wasn't even close to this in his first 21 fights. It took him 20 fights to get to a shot Blocker.

Seriously, in 21 fights, Cotto's body of work is just fine. He's steadily fighting better guys, he's knocking most of them out, and he has no glaring holes in his game excpet for the right hand upstairs (which will be corrected), and his slightly short reach.

That bottom list is laughable. Witter dominating Cotto?? Witter would be KO'd inside of 5 rounds. Hatton hasn't proved **** (although I like him), he's the most unproven fighter today IMO. Cotto would beat Hatton by late TKO, landing the shrper and more effective punches/counters. Cotto would get to Sharmba's chin quicker than Tszyu did. The only real threats for Cotto at this point would be Tszyu, Floyd, and Vivian Harris. I believe he is very capable of beating all three of them after he gets another good name underneath his belt though.

Can someone explain to me why Hatton is more overrated then Cotto? Pinto and Sosa were a joke and he struggled with N'Dou while Hatton dominated Tackie, Vilches, and knocked out Mike Stewart. Hatton would've also knocked out Pinto had he not run scared out of Manchester one day before the fight.
