When was your saddest moment in boxing?

That might be but, I guess it will hit me hard when my favorite boxer right now, Pacquiao, gets beat up and beat up bad like almost every boxer in the end of their career. I hate to say it but it might be inevitable oneday. Not many boxers rides off in the sunset. And I hope you know what I post about the whole Apollo Creed vs Ivan Drago thing was more of a joke. It was fake, it didn't really happen in contrast to some of our favorite boxers downfall in the ring.Comment

Watching Larry Merchant get so emotional when talking about the recent death of Archie Moore after the second fight between Arturo Gatti and Ivan Robinson.I've never seen Merchant like that,so he must have thought alot about the guy.
This is pretty sad too.Comment

that was sad drago should have been jailedddWhen Ivan Drago murdered Apollo Creed in Rocky IV. The ref tried to stop it but Drago kept on pummeling Apollo, Rocky was hesitating to throw in the towel because Apollo wanted to kept on going in the break before the faithful round, Drago so cold getting interviewed saying, "if he dies, he dies" and Rocky having to bury Apollo.
I think thats how it all went. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong with something.Comment

corrales' death ..
honestly during a match i've never been as sad as watching clottey beat the hell out of corrales and corrales just took it
i didnt count roy jones because the pain came AFTER not during the moment. roy was different because he was like santa claus. he was invincible to me, and i aligned myself with him, he was almost like a father figure in boxing and he was so personable. it was like the ultimate warrior in wwf wrestling when i was little. he wasn't just my favorite boxer. he was my hero. at the age i was at, ive been through some **** but that was a traumatizing moment in my life
p.s. i wouldnt be telling you this if i wasnt drunk. also yes it was sad when hatton lost to pacquiao when all the fans came to see him after he lost to mayweather. he fought the 2 people you dont fight if you want to win
cotto margarito
when tyson quit because his knee hurt against a big fat guyLast edited by Talon; 02-16-2010, 06:23 AM.Comment

i think some of the happiest moments were
mosley vs margarito - the devestating knockout we have all been yearning to see. something that would turn the stomach of a normal person
floyd vs gatti - 1 fighter is impossible to hurt and is a slugger with good power, enough to hurt his featherfisted, outsized, cowardly opponent. the smaller, weaker, cowardly man lays a beat down on the tough guy. he really just spanks his ass and shuts all the haters the fu ck up
pacquaio vs david diaz - when pacquiao actually showed even more improvements and we realised he is even better than we thought and getting better every day
p.s. drunk post1
i am editing this post as i go, and as i read i'm starting to gain a respect for the puerto ricans. i used to kind of clump them together with *******s, but they really love their champions and they have some good ones too. i dont think cotto ever reached his potential but he tried and he did pretty damn wellLast edited by Talon; 02-16-2010, 06:14 AM.Comment
