Then your missing out, you really should watch it. It was a very good fight. Holyfield vs Bowe was good, but this one was even better.

That was by far the most disappointing day in boxing for me. The thought was so inconceivable that it took several days for me to even accept it. It was all downhill for Mike after that.

I like others here still cant watch the full fight. It really chokes me up to see him lose. The Holy and Lewis fights were ok with me because they really beat him, although it was just the shell of him they still beat him. Buster brought his A game and Tyson didnt even show up. Its pretty common knowledge that Mike had ZERO concentration on this fight with his partying all day and getting whooped up even in sparing. I seen a vid somewhere, where Tyson gets dropped by a sparring partner even with his headgear on and he just had no motivation. I think it his trainer even said something along the lines of "Mike just looked at me to say he was done for the day". I really loved Tyson as Im sure every other boxing fan did at the time. Seeing him beat really did something to alot of boxing fans.

An upset like this can only happen if the favourite did everything wrong, his corner didnt work(no Rooney anymore) and the preparation was bad, plus the underdog fights his fight of his life. They should have made a rematch, i think thats what Tyson really needed.

Corrales was a washed out wreck wo hadn't eaten a square meal for many weeks before the "fight", and he was heading straight for 2 years jail right after the "fight" He spent much of his time in a sweat box-right up to weigh in time, I've been reliably told. As he said, "Mayweather made me an offer I couldn/t refuse". This was several weeks before the fight, ina TV interview, when asked why he took the fight whrn he had clearly left the division. Larry Merchant has told of passing his dressing room just before the fight and seeing him "scoffing a large hamburger". He had virtually no chance as soon as he accepted the fight. He was desperate for money for lawyers fees, and his trainer said he couldn't get him out of his room where he was playing computer games, ans alternating with sweating. None of Mayweather's other opponents were any good, or well worn out, like Gattim and his best opponent, according to him was Emmanuel Burton-Augustus, who gave him a damned good fight, but clowned around too much allowing for his about 50-50 win loss record.
