It's horrible to watch a boxers loved ones go through that, and think how it must have such lasting effects, and while those poor family members are crying their eyes out, watching the person they love passed out, in terrible danger, the crowd is laughing and cheering and singing.

Honestly things like that make me consider why i watch boxing sometimes.
That's the reason why Sugar Ray Robinson had a love hate relationship to boxing.

BTW...I don't understand why so many boxers bring their kids to the fight. It must be horrible for the children to watch their father get punched in the face. Cotto brought his kids to both of his losses (Margarito and Pacman) and both of the time they were in tears.

Boxing is a brutal not compassionate sport. A boxer won't say " Damn, man, I can't KO you right now. You're hurt. I'll just wait till you're done being dizzy and hitting all 4 ring buckles to continue again"

Most of the time fans go to a boxing event to see something brutal, reason they pay big money at times. When they get what they payed for they're happy for the moment, then when things settle down it gets down to reality.

Also in boxing events, obviously a lot of people have their favorite fighter in the event. Why wouldn't you cheer for the person you want to lose, not your favorite fighter, not the one you bet would win?

Also family members aren't forced to go there. They go there knowing the risks. It only takes one punch.
